Tare

Tare

The tare button appears in the toolbar of Ticketing and Truck forms and can be used capture the tare weight of a truck or container. The following Tare dialog will appear.

Weight

Weight is the tare weight of the truck or container. This value will be entered automatically from the scale if Automatic is selected under Tare Mode. To enter the tare weight manually, select Manual under Tare Mode.

Tare Mode

Sets the source and type of tare weight.

Loaded Tare      Indicates that the weight entered is with the truck or container loaded. This can be enabled or disabled by clicking the square box.

Automatic      Indicates that EZScale should use the weight reported by the scale. This option will be disabled if the Enable Comm Port is disabled under Tools | Options | Comm Port settings.

Manual      Indicates that the user will manually enter the tare weight using the keyboard.

OK / Cancel

Click OK or press <Enter> to accept the tare weight. Click Cancel or press <ESC> to ignore changes.
