ID

The ID field is an alpha/numeric field of up to 15 characters used to uniquely identify the record. The ID field is used in all Lookup lists.

EZScale automatically converts all letters to UPPER CASE for the ID field regardless of the caps lock setting on the keyboard.

EZScale assigns a separate internally generated Key to every record so you can change the ID of a record without loosing any history or information associated with the record.

Description or Name

The field directly below the ID field will usually be labeled Description. On a few forms it is labeled Name. The Description or Name field accepts 50 alpha/numeric characters to further describe the record. If you are unable to locate a record by it's ID, you may be able to find it by it Description or name.
