Overview
You must login with a User ID and Password to run EZScale. The password may be optional, but the user id is not. The case of letters does not matter as all entries are automatically converted to UPPER CASE regardless of the caps lock setting on your keyboard.

The current logged in user is displayed in the status bar along the bottom of the program window. If the status bar is not visible, it can be turned on under View | Status Bar.
IMPORTANT: Users should log off when they are done or going to be away from the terminal for any period of time to ensure that someone else doesn't tamper with the system while unattended.
Default User ID
When you run EZScale for the first time, the user id is DEFAULT and no password is required. Valid user id's and passwords may be changed at any time under Maintain | Users. If you are unable to login, see you administrator for a valid user id and password.
Privileges
Your user id will determine what areas of the program you have access to and what actions you are allowed to take. If a feature of EZScale is disabled, grayed out, or you get the following message...

...it is probably because the privileges associated with your User ID don't authorize you for that feature or task. Privileges are set under Maintain | Users. Of course, you'll need an authorized User ID to change privileges!
Logs
EZScale can log the actions of each user based on their user id and record who changed what information. Some of these tracking logs must be turned on under Tools | Options | Event Logs.
