Compact Database

Overview

Compacting the EZScale database repairs the database, permanently removes deleted information, and reorganizes the stored information in an efficient manner decreasing both the storage required and the time required for EZScale to access the information.

The database can be compacted two ways:

Manual

You can manually compact the database at any time by selecting Tools | Compact Database under the menu, or

Automatic

You can automatically compact the database every time you exit EZScale by enabling "Compact Database On Exit" under the Tools | Options | General tab. This is the recommended option.
